THIS GIVING TUESDAY
Every school day, the children at Psalm 91 Ministry receive a hot lunch that helps them stay full, focused, and in school. For most, it’s the most reliable food they’ll eat all day.
This Giving Tuesday, we are raising $25,000 — half of our annual food budget — to feed all 163 children in 2026.
It costs $307/year (about $100/semester) to feed one child.
Every dollar matters. Every meal makes a difference.
A full stomach helps them learn, dream, and thrive.
Join the #NshimaChallenge
What is Nshima?
Nshima is the staple food in Zambia — a porridge made from ground maize (similar to cream of wheat or oatmeal). It’s eaten with the hands at almost every meal and for most of our students, this is the only meal of the day.
The Kids are throwing us a Challenge
Make a bowl of cream of wheat, oatmeal, or another simple hot cereal.
Take a photo or video of yourself eating it with your hands — just like Zambian children do with nshima.
Share it on social media with a caption like:
““I accepted the #NshimaChallenge from the kids in Zambia! $25 feeds one child for one month. Consider supporting Psalm 91’s food program, and I’m tagging (friend) to accept this Nshima Challenge and KEEP IT GOING!
Tag Psalm 91 Ministry
Challenge someone else to join in and keep the awareness growing!
Every photo, every video, and every person tagged helps others learn about this simple but essential need.
Will you join us? Let’s feed hope — one bowl at a time. 🍽️✨
Why Zambia
Zambia is one of the world’s youngest nations, with an average age of just 17.9 years. Many children have lost one or both parents. Caretakers often work hard but still struggle to keep food on the table. Life is modest, resources are limited, and hunger is a daily reality.
That’s why your support matters so much. A meal isn’t just food —
it’s stability, dignity, and hope for a better future.
